Crates make puppies feel safe!
A crate will help keep your puppy safe while you are out. Sometimes when puppies are alone and bored they can get into things that are unsafe, eg. electrical cords. They can also start chewing things if they are bored, like your shoes!
Also, a crate can be a quiet place for your puppy to hide away in. Sometimes puppies can become stressed or anxious if things get too busy in the household. They need a spot of their own to go to, just like you have your room!
It takes time for your puppy to become comfortable and want to stay in its crate.
